The Invacare Action 4 NG is the most durable model in the Action family, built to accommodate taller and heavier users with a reinforced chassis and double cross brace system that delivers exceptional stability and reliability. Now lighter than ever from just 14.0kg with a lifting weight of 8.3kg, the Invacare Action 4 NG benefits from aluminium rear wheel supports and a lightweight castor housing as standard to support efficient energy transfer during propulsion. Available in self-propel, transit, and heavy-duty versions with a maximum user weight of up to 160kg, it is a highly versatile and configurable everyday wheelchair.
Invacare Action 4 NG Performance and Manoeuvrability
The double cross brace system improves stability and comfort during driving while still allowing the chair to fold easily for storage and transport. A smart multi-functional rear wheel support facilitates height adjustment and rear wheel positioning, allowing the chair to be configured from a stable to a more active setup as the user’s skills and confidence develop. With great indoor and outdoor drive performance and an overall length of 105 to 111cm, it handles confidently across a wide range of everyday environments.
Comfort and Seating Adjustability
Seat width ranges from 38cm to 60.5cm across standard and wider configurations, with seat depth adjustable from 40 to 50mm to suit individual positioning requirements. The innovative patented angle-adjustable backrest system allows adjustment from -15° to +15° and folds flat onto the seat for compact storage and vehicle loading. Angle-adjustable legrests with 0° to 80° elevation combine length compensation with pressure relief for optimum comfort during extended use.
Configuration and Customisation
The Action 4 NG offers an extensive range of options and accessories to meet a wide variety of functional and clinical requirements, with cross-compatible parts that are simple to adapt and readily available for refurbishment and reissue. The Matrx range of cushions and backrests can be tailored to individual user morphology to fulfil seating and positioning needs at any level. Eight vibrant frame colours are available alongside smart black standard components, and the chair is crash tested for use as a seat during motor vehicle transport when properly secured.
