The Küschall K-Series is an iconic modular rigid wheelchair designed to adapt precisely to the individual user, whether they require a more stable position or a highly active configuration. Its unique independent seat module can be modified and adjusted at any time without altering the frame, offering a level of versatility and personalisation rarely found in a rigid wheelchair. The Küschall K-Series weighs approximately 10.3kg, supports a maximum user weight of 120kg, and is crash tested for use during motor vehicle transport.
Küschall K-Series Performance and Manoeuvrability
The hydroformed frame uses high-pressure metal forming to create lightweight, structurally stiff, and strong tubes with complex geometry that would not be possible through conventional manufacturing. This results in a rigid wheelchair that is both highly responsive and durable, with an overall length of 76cm at 90° and 83cm at 75° keeping the footprint compact for confident indoor and outdoor navigation. The overall width of seat width plus 17cm ensures the chair remains as narrow as practically possible for each individual user.
Comfort and Seating Adjustability
The independent seat module is the defining feature of the K-Series, allowing seating setup to be changed anytime and anywhere without tools or frame adjustments. Seat width adjusts from 36cm to 48cm and seat depth from 37.5cm to 47.5cm, providing a precise and comfortable fit across a wide range of users. The sleek hydroformed backrest brace offers improved grip and reduced lifting effort, making transfers easier in everyday situations.
Customisation
The K-Series offers three steps of personalisation across more than 100 design combinations. Users can choose from 12 frame colours including Pure White, Carmine Red, and Forest Green, with specific colours on extended lead times. Decal design options in Bold or Tag styles are available across eight colour variations to complete a fully personalised finish.
