Karma Ergo Lite 2 Ultralight Wheelchair
The Karma Ergo Lite 2 is an ultralight aluminium wheelchair combining ergonomic seating, practical portability, and effortless transfers for everyday users and their carers. Available in transit and self-propel configurations, the Karma Ergo Lite 2 weighs just 8.7kg in self-propel form and reduces to as little as 6kg with the rear wheels and footrest hangers removed, significantly lowering the physical effort required for lifting and transport. Supporting a maximum user weight of 100kg and crash tested for motor vehicle transport, it is a reliable and lightweight everyday mobility solution.
Karma Ergo Lite 2 Performance and Manoeuvrability
The self-propel version features 20 inch quick-release rear wheels and an ergonomic handrim designed to provide greater comfort, improved propulsion efficiency, and more effective braking. The transit version weighs just 9.2kg, reducing the risk of carer back injury during lifting and handling. An overall width of 62 to 65cm and compact overall length of 42cm provide a manageable footprint for everyday indoor and outdoor navigation.
Comfort and Seating Adjustability
The patented S-Ergo seating system promotes pressure relief and helps prevent the user from sliding forward, supporting good posture and long-term sitting comfort. Seat width is available in 41cm or 46cm with a seat depth of 42cm, providing a well-proportioned seating position for a range of users. Anti-microbial upholstery inhibits bacteria and fungus, is removable and washable, and offers breathability for clean and comfortable everyday use.
Practical Design Features
The detachable swing-away footrest requires no tools to remove, allowing quick and easy transfers on and off the wheelchair at any time. Quick-release rear wheels on the self-propel version further reduce the chair to 6kg for compact storage and straightforward vehicle loading. Pearl Silver is the standard frame colour, giving the Ergo Lite 2 wheelchair a clean and contemporary aesthetic to complement its lightweight and ergonomic design.
